Wakanda for ever 💓

 My Peer class started on February 6th Monday. So I have chosen the lesson Adventures in a Banyan tree by Ruskin Bond from the 10th standard English textbook. Apart from the usual online classes the major difference this time was the presence of our first years. I was a bit nervous when compared to the classes taking in front of my classmates only. But it become insignificant as the class began.By the course  of one week I was able to complete 10 Peer classes.  The theme of my lesson was living in harmony with nature so I introduce the lesson with the help of Tarzan and Mowgli, by referring them in order to show the life they lead blended with the nature. From the courses 10 day tenth peer classes I was able to complete three by fourth of the lesson. Fearles Peerclass was a different experience from the online classes with the students.

 The online claases exceeded the third week. The most signifacant change I felt was the comfort in taking classes. Through the course of two weeks I was able to establish a better relationship with the students which added to the flow of the class. By the end of the 3rd weeki was able to complete 12  classes. In course I completed the Survival story of Juliane Koepcke  with the help of audio visual aids. During this period the Diagnostic test was conducted. I got received response from neraly 15 students. The questons were simple and i came to know that majority of  the students were able to give hundred percentage correct answers except the spelling and grammar mistakes. The content was clear to them. I taught them the concept plural nouns and the rules in the creation of plural ones from singular with the help of CAM.  

   After four classes in Government Model Boys High School Thevally we were transferred to Government High School Vallikkkezhu because of the inconvenient number of students in the assigned time. Even though I was a little bit nervous when I was transferred to the new school because I got adjusted with the students in my old school, but i was okey when we started interacting with the teachers and students.  By the end of this week we have completed six lesson plans that is sixclasses with the students. I was assigned to take English classes for the students in 9 D. From the first class itself class teacher Rekha miss   was very supportive and she had done anything that which we needed to carry out the Google meet classes smoothly. There was neraly 20 students in all classes. The time assigned to me was 7.30 pm.  I was dealing with the lesson the Jungle air crash by Juliane koepcke.  Teaching via online was not a new experience for us. But there was a little anxiety for me  as it was a responsible task. I was assigned to take class on English for the students of 9 th standard at GMBHS  Thevally. I got IX D . We have already done all the arrangents to take the classes smoothly as the concerned class teachers had admitted us to their official class groups. I was assigned to take classes of  the lesson   the Jungle Air Crash by Juliane  Koepcke. I have completed 4 classes on the lesson. The first class was taken on 28- 01 - 2021. 4 classes were taken on regular basis. I felt myself improved on each day.I tried my best to convey the  meaning and theme of the lesson. I was very happy that i got good responses from the students as i felt they were grasping the content.

 Peer teaching means students are given the opportunity to teach each other .I take the lesson the Tolstoy farm and I used the online platform for delivering the content effectively before the students. My friends responded actively before me and replied to all my questions. What I feel happy is that they note down the problems in my class and after the class they give me a positive feedback with a view to improve my teaching. I used different materials for teaching and also presented a video depicting the idea .The content were transmitted to the students effectively through this online platform .so as a whole it was a great experience for me. 

   World Environment Day Webinar (5/6/2020)  Topic - "Time for Nature"  Resource person- Dr. K.Rajeshwary ( Principal govt. College of Teacher Education, Kozhikkode).        Teacher said about the changes that  happened in our life during this pandemic period. In her opinion, the covid 19 situation taught us to respect the nature and protect it carefully.  Resource person - Dr. Suresh K.J (Associate prof. NSS Training college, Changanassery)  Sir gave more emphasis to the use of herbal plants, which is available in our surroundings.
